Sanger sits on Interstate 35 north of Denton where the freeway still runs through farmland and FM 455 crosses it. Bolivar Street is the old highway through town and it still carries local traffic.

Why Sanger Crashes Happen Where They Do

Interstate 35 through Sanger carries heavy truck traffic on the Oklahoma run, and the FM 455 interchange is the town's only full connection to it. Frontage roads collect local trips and deliver them to short merges where the mainline is doing 75. FM 455 itself runs east and west as a two-lane highway toward Aubrey and Bolivar with unsignalized crossings. Bolivar Street through the old downtown adds angled parking and a rail crossing. The severity here comes from the speed difference at the ramps.

What Sanger Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
