Driving in Dallas

Dallas holds the largest road network in North Texas and the crash numbers to match, more than 26,000 reported in 2024, roughly a fifth of everything in the metroplex. Between the Mixmaster, the High Five and the Interstate 635 rebuild, the city hands drivers more merge decisions per mile than anywhere else in the state.

The corridor that carries most of it: the Interstate 30 and Interstate 35E Mixmaster and the US 75 High Five.

Why Dallas Crashes Happen Where They Do

The crash load concentrates where the freeways knot together. The Mixmaster at Interstate 30 and Interstate 35E, the High Five at US 75 and Interstate 635, and the Interstate 345 stack over Deep Ellum all force lane changes across four or five lanes in under a mile. Off the freeways it's Northwest Highway, Greenville Avenue and Lemmon that carry the late-night crashes. Uptown and Deep Ellum add a valet and rideshare layer, where cars stop in live lanes and the driver behind is reading a phone.

Neighborhoods We Serve

We take Dallas vehicles from Uptown, Deep Ellum, Oak Lawn, Lake Highlands, Preston Hollow, North Dallas, Bishop Arts, and everywhere in between. Drop the car at our Lewisville shop, or send us photos first and we'll tell you whether it's worth the trip.

What Dallas Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
