The corridor that carries most of it: FM 423 between Eldorado Parkway and US 380.

Why Little Elm Crashes Happen Where They Do

FM 423 is the only continuous north-south route through Little Elm, and it carries the Frisco commute, the lake traffic and the town's entire retail load on a road that was two lanes within living memory. The signals at Eldorado Parkway, Main Street and King Road take all of it. US 380 across the north side adds regional traffic at highway speed with median openings between the signals. The lake removes the parallel routes, so queues on FM 423 have nowhere to spill and the rear-end chains get long.

What Little Elm Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
