Driving in Coppell

Coppell is wedged between DFW Airport, State Highway 121 and Interstate 635, with Denton Tap Road as its main street and Freeport Parkway lined with distribution centers. Passenger traffic and freight traffic share the same intersections, which is unusual for a town this size.

The corridor that carries most of it: Denton Tap Road at Sandy Lake Road and the Freeport Parkway freight crossings.

Why Coppell Crashes Happen Where They Do

Denton Tap Road is the seam. On one side are the neighborhoods, on the other are the Freeport Parkway and Royal Lane distribution yards, and the trucks cross Denton Tap all day to reach State Highway 121 and Interstate 635. Sandy Lake Road adds school and commuter traffic through the same lights. The worst of it happens where a truck's turning radius needs two lanes and the car in the second lane didn't know that.

Neighborhoods We Serve

We take Coppell vehicles from Coppell Old Town, Riverchase, Stratford Park, MacArthur Hills, and everywhere in between. Drop the car at our Lewisville shop, or send us photos first and we'll tell you whether it's worth the trip.

What Coppell Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
