The corridor that carries most of it: US 377 through Benbrook Boulevard to the Interstate 20 ramps.

Why Benbrook Crashes Happen Where They Do

US 377, Benbrook Boulevard through town, carries commuters from Granbury and Hood County into Fort Worth and then hands them to Interstate 20 at the north end. The transition is the problem: highway speeds coming in, signalized retail crossings at Winscott Road and Mercedes Street, and left turns across four lanes into shopping entrances. Interstate 20 adds its own pattern at the Bryant Irvin and Winscott ramps, where weaving traffic and truck volume overlap.

What Benbrook Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
