Driving in Azle

Azle sits northwest of Fort Worth on State Highway 199 where Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth pinch the road network down to a handful of routes. FM 730 runs north and south, and almost everything else is a two-lane county road.

Why Azle Crashes Happen Where They Do

State Highway 199, the Jacksboro Highway, is the only high-capacity route between Azle and Fort Worth, and it narrows as it leaves the Loop 820 area. Drivers passing on two-lane sections and turning across oncoming traffic at FM 730 and Ash Creek produce crashes far more severe than the count suggests. The lake geography removes the alternate routes that would spread traffic out, so one corridor carries the whole commute.

Neighborhoods We Serve

What Azle Drivers Should Know

  • Your insurer can recommend a shop. It cannot require one. That right is in Texas Insurance Code 1952.301.
  • If the other driver caused it, their insurance pays for the repair.
  • On a small repair, paying yourself can cost less than a claim. Get the free estimate first, then decide.
  • Not-at-fault claims usually do not touch your rate. At-fault claims usually do, and that call belongs to your insurer, not to us.
